If you have verified your account on Villoux's Discord Server after November 15, 2019, simply type "-verify" in #verification_console as the Villoux Operator Bot will remember your information. If you have verified your account prior prior to November 15, 2019, you will need the follow the steps outlined below.
All users receive the following message from the Villoux Operator Bot after joining Villoux's Discord Server: "Welcome to Villoux's Discord Server!
Before formally joining our community, please take a moment to verify that your Discord nickname is the same as your in-game name. The nickname you choose should be the exact nickname from the game sponsored by Villoux that you play most frequently. If you do not play any of these games, then please set your username as your Steam name or another name by which people know you. Do not include any additional usernames or your real name in your nickname.
Once you have ensured you are using the right name, type "-verify <username> <country code>" without the quotation marks or <>'s in #verification_console, e.g. -verify Tom US. If you are unfamiliar with your country code, check here - http://www.nationsonline.org/oneworld/country_code_list.htm. You must verify your account on the Discord server in order to send messages and connect to voice channels. If you have any questions or need help with this process, request assistance in #verification_console.
Please keep #villoux_announcements unmuted as we post important information here, but feel free to mute any categories you are uninterested in receiving messages for. You can find just about everything you would want to know about Villoux in #villoux_information."
Discord Nickname Requirements
In short, users on Villoux's Discord server's name should be the in-game name of their most played name, followed by their country's two-letter code, which will automatically be converted to that country's respective flag emoji.
If your username contains any profanity, vulgarity, racism, or homophobia, please select a different username and direct message the Villoux Chief of Staff, Dr. Baskerville on Discord to request a system name change. If you are unsure if your username violates this restriction, please refer to the Pbarron88 Clause, Spree Clause, Zedl Clause, and Icyx Clause of the Discord Ordinance, which can be found here.
After your username, please please add the two-letter abbreviation for your current country (a list of country abbreviations can be found here).Should you prefer to be recognized by a country other than your current one, please direct message the Villoux Chief of Staff, Dr. Baskerville on Discord to request a system nationality change. A list of countries recognized by Villoux can be found here. With this code, the bot will automatically change your country code into the respective country's emoji.
Once you have ensured that your Discord nickname meets all of our requirements, type “-verify username country code” in #verification_console and you will be granted access to the server. Do not use the "<>" in your command.
General Information
The Discord Ordinance is the group of regulations that state how Villoux's Discord server is to be governed. Though it is not recommended that users read the entire ordinance, users may wish to refer to "Section 1 - General Information" and "Section 7 - Ban Offenses" to familiarize themselves with Villoux's administrative system. Villoux's Discord Ordinance can be read in full here.
For pertinent information on each voice and text channel, consult the pinned message in the respective text channel, and if you are ever in need of assistance on the Discord server, please contact a Discord Operator. Check #villoux_information for general information about Villoux and each gaming department.
Channel Information
Villoux only offers private user channels on Discord to our Server Heads and Grand Council Members. User private channels are not granted to users that do not meet this credentials, and they may not be purchased or shared. We offer team channels to teams in League of Legends that have five members of their team that use Villoux’s Discord server. Guild channels are offered to guilds in Realm of the Mad God and Destiny 2 that have at least ten active Discord members. Contact the respective Department Chairman to be granted your guild channel. Live streamers and YouTubers may use our Commercialist Channel to record content for Villoux. Contact the Executive System Press Officer for information on how to apply to become a Villoux Commercialist.
Discord Ban Information
Villoux Operator Bot adds users who have been banned from the Discord Server to the "Banned" role. This role prevents users from seeing any text channel, connecting to any voice channel, and seeing the server membership. The following message is received by users who are banned and is posted in #discord_ban_console:
"You currently have a ban on Villoux's Discord Server. You will be unable to view or send any messages in text channels and be unable to view or connect to any voice channels for the duration of your ban. Once your ban has expired, your full permissions will be restored, including having your roles reassigned.
Leaving the Discord server during the duration of your ban will not remove you from the banned role because the bot automatically queries your name when you rejoin the server and reassigns you the role. You will be issued a second ban for "Ban Evading" if you leave and rejoin the server during the duration of your ban.
Please take the time of your ban to review the Discord Ordinance on Villoux's website to avoid future bans - http://www.villoux.com/uploads/5/9/5/3/59536099/discord_ordinance.pdf. If you have any questions or concerns about your ban, please send them in a direct message to the Executive Discord Operator.
This ban does not affect your ability to connect to other Villoux servers."
